Boiled Liver: Date Added: 23 Jun 2009

2 cups beef liver
2 cups sliced bamboo shoots
4 green bell peppers
cup vinegar
cup water
1 gloves garlic (cut in 2-3 pieces)
1 big onion
Salt or patis (fish sauce)

Cooking Instructions

Slice the bamboo shoots into serving sizes and boil until tender. When done, wash this several times to remove the bitter taste. Clean and seed the green bell peppers. Cut them into strips lengthwise. Cut the liver into serving pieces. Crush the garlic and minced the onion. Set aside.

In a cooking pot, add the vinegar, water, green bell pepper, bamboo shoots, liver and raisins. Cook until done. Season with salt or patis (fish sauce) and pepper. Remove from the fire and serve.
